Terms of Use

RecurTrack is a record-keeping and reminder app. It tracks what you owe and helps you ask people for their share. It does not move money, and it is not financial advice.

1. Agreement

By using RecurTrack you agree to these terms. They form an agreement between you and Mayank Pal, India ("we", "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.

2. What RecurTrack does — and does not do

RecurTrack helps you record recurring payments, split them, and get reminded before they fall due.

RecurTrack never holds, receives, pools or transfers money. Specifically:

• We do not process payments. When you request a share, the app opens your own UPI app with the details pre-filled. The transfer happens directly between you and the other person over the UPI network.
• We take no commission or fee from any payment between you and anyone else.
• We cannot see whether a payment succeeded, failed or was reversed. Marking a split "paid" is your own record-keeping, nothing more.
• We cannot cancel a subscription, mandate or auto-debit on your behalf. Where the app explains how to cancel something, that is guidance only — you must complete it yourself in the relevant app, bank or store.
• We are not a bank, payment aggregator, payment gateway, money transmitter or financial adviser.

3. Your responsibility for accuracy

Everything RecurTrack shows is calculated from what you type in. Amounts, due dates, reminders, splits and totals are only as correct as the information you enter. You are responsible for verifying anything that matters before acting on it, and for the money you actually send or receive.

4. Reminders are best effort

Notifications depend on your device, your operating system settings, battery optimisation and permissions we do not control. Do not rely on RecurTrack as your only safeguard against a missed payment. We are not responsible for a late fee, a bounced mandate, a service interruption or any other loss arising from a reminder that did not arrive or arrived late.

5. Your account

You may use RecurTrack without an account, or create one with an email address. If you create one, keep your password secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be 18 or older. You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account; this is immediate and permanent.

6. RecurTrack Plus

Tracking, splitting, requesting payment and reminders are free. RecurTrack Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that adds further features.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it, and we cannot cancel it for you.
• Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region. We may change prices for future periods, but never for a period you have already paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under Apple's own policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We have no ability to issue, approve or deny a refund.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RecurTrack to:

• Harass, threaten or repeatedly pressure anyone over money
• Add another person's contact details without a legitimate reason to contact them
• Do anything unlawful, or attempt to break, reverse-engineer or overload the app

Messages you send from RecurTrack are sent by you, from your own phone number or account, through your own messaging app. You are responsible for their content.

8. Availability

RecurTrack is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, including Plus features. If we discontinue Plus, we will not charge you for periods after that. Because your data lives on your device, you keep it regardless, and you can export it at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost money, missed payments, late fees, cancelled services or damaged relationships arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which is zero if you have never subscribed to Plus.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use RecurTrack after that means you accept the revised terms.
